Merging Routes

Is it possible to merge 2 separate routes together into one?

ty

Hi crimsonsky,

It is possible with some routes but you have to do some checking first, for instance, if one board has a ground level of say 100M and the board you want to merge to it is at say -100m, forget it. However if the two boards are at roughly the same altitude you can add a blank board to one route and merge the other route to the blank board, then connect the tracks and do a bit of landscaping.

Is There something in the documentation or a tutorial that will explain how to do that?

I'm still pretty new to this, Both the 2 routes i have are both on Default boards.. (ground level).

Open up one route in surveyor, add a baseboard to the side of the route that you wish to merge to.

Then open the merge facility (top left corner of surveyor), and the names of all the routes that you have will appear in a list. Choose the one that you want, and a map view of both routes will appear.

You then manoeuvre (by means of the arrows) the route you wish to merge with to the edge of the blank baseboard that you want to merge to.

I hope that makes sense!
