N nicky9499 SSoTW Bot May 10, 2013 #4 Think of the ground as a blanket and you'd like to lay some model train tracks underneath it. In order to go below the ground (under the blanket), you'd need to cut a hole for the track and tunnel to pass through. That's what the dighole does.
