lumber and coal

Been on here about this before but still have problem. I can get logs at forestry and unload them at lumber mill. Then I can pick up lumber no problem but I can't find anyplace to unload it. I don't have a lumber yard in my choices. Also I can load coal but don't know where to unload it. Question-- Is there any track that I can lay by a building to do this or is there any industry or building to unload lumber and coal without going to the download station. I have Trainz A New Era. My only problem is unloading lumber and coal.

Hi there.

You must find a "multiple industry" a fixed track with red arrows at the Objects tab. Clicking the "?" you open a window with the products avaiable to consume or produce there. you choose consume lumber. Then you find any kind of na object like a building or a lumber yard single asset to put close to the track to get more realism to your route.
You also have "mutilple industry new" asset that gives more options to load and unload products. You must explore this better. There also other assets with the same propose.
To unload coal you have the favorite " PowerHouseNs" asset that consumes your coal. this assets you will find all at Objects tab.

Hope this help you out

Thanks Jorge. I'm slowly getting there.

Find the product that you are interested in loading/unloading. Eg, Lumber 8ft,<kuid2:30671:94407100:2>

View the asset in Content Manager. You can search on a term such as 'lumber' or search on the actual KUID. Right click the item and select View Dependent Assets or List Dependants. That will list the assets that either load, unload, or transport that product, as well as routes where the product is used. The buildings will be interactive industries. Some will be actual buildings - some might just be sections of track where you add your own selection of buildings.

Chuck --

As pointed out above, use an interactive track.

A couple of suggestions:
1. In T:ANE Deluxe you will find my Bidye traction layout. This uses the Multiple Industry New interactive track extensively.
2. I've uploaded several videos to youtube that show how to configure interactive industries and freight cars. Search with "philskene" as the author.

Oh, yes, I also did an illustrated tutorial. It's a bit dated now but if you are interested, download it with a mouse click here:

Tell me if any of this helps.

Phil

Thanks Phil. Going to You tube to check to check out your videos right now. Thanks to people like you my layout is shaping up and becoming very operational. I drove your traction layout. It's fun to drive and the detail is fantastic.
