London 2012 less than 24 hours to go

the French are miserable the top Free are USA China and GB I cannot remember what position they are as no one mentions them lol

Yeah they were miserable back during WW2 wanting to blame us for leaving at Dunkirk which wouldn't have been needed if they hadn't surrendered and went in with the jackboot people!

The French are a respectable seventh in the medal table as of the morning of 12th August. It was also the French who in the form of Pierre de Coubertin were responsible for founding the modern Olympic movement.

Between London's last games in 1948 and Atlanta in 1996, GB's gold medal tally never made it into double figures.

However, while respecting other nations archievements (especially the US an China) congratulation to Team GB who have performed superbly. Also congratulations to those who have administered and supported the games which I think it is fair to say have been a success. Looking forward to Rio already :)

I will be going to Rio in 4 years as I am a die hard fan of the Olympic games I have attended all since 1992. On a last note for this thread as the games are ending now WELL DONE to all the teams who one medals and sorry to those who did not as their are many countries who have not got any medals and on to RIO 2016.

PS lets not forget the para games about to start soon in London. I love them 2 and go to all of them also yup I am a die hard as I said:)

One BBC reporter reckons we are all going to be in tears tonight during the closing ceremony. Hmmm.

The French eh? Miserable bunch, eating all that foreign muck. I actually like the French, beautiful language, passionate and proud people and cuisine to die for. I strongly recommend a gite holiday away from the Parisians and you will be converted.

Anyway, transport and Limpicks. My man in London has been pleasantly surprised by the complete lack of conjestion. In his words "you would have thought we were planning for an alien invasion." Even his local greasy spoon has got in on the action with 'dining' al fresco. Now you can eat your full English on the streets of Queen's Park. Haha.

By the way, what is the coverage of the Paralympics likely to be? I take it there won't be dozens of channels showing every event? The BBC coverage all cost us a little more than £6 for the 2 weeks. Personally, I think that's great value for money.
