Loading Products

Hi all I am looking for a rule/driver command which enables you to load a specific product to a wagon once it leaves a portal. I have got the instant load command but that only loads the first product in the cue. The Tankers I am using the first product is Crude Oil and I require Diesel. Any help on this would be appreciated

Hi Louise_T,

Do you need the crude oil for another train? If not set up the industry to have no crude oil and produce no crude oil. In fact if you don't need any other products set them all to zero except the diesel.

but I'd be very happy to be proved wrong.

Hi Lou,

I had the same problem with wagons that could take multiple loads but where I only wanted one from 'instant load' so I cloned the wagon in CMP and then editted the available loads so that it could only carry what I wanted. I saved the wagon with its original name plus the load name, and I use these when I set up my trains being delivered by the portal

Hi,

You can remove the loads that you do not require from the wagon while in Surveyor, this will save the setup in the session without changing the wagon in CMP. This way if you upload the session to the DLS you will not need to upload the wagon that you changed.

When you place the wagon in Surveyor, bring up the properties window, click on the load/product you do not want, then click on the black X to remove the product from the queue, repeat for each one and only leave the product you require.

I have done this in a lot of sessions where I find wagons are loading with the wrong product, like the tankers for example.


Louise, after you do this you should find that the instant load will work as you need as you will only have 1 product in the queue.

I've tried this one before but when the rollingstock comes back after a trip to the portal (one set to load/unload), all the default loads come back so it only works if you keep the "modified" rollingstock on the layout.
