Loading cars without a locomotive.

So in my engine yard, I have setup an ash pit for my steamers that uses a conveyor belt elevator to transfer the ash from the pit into a gondola (or other appropriate car) on an adjacent track. The problem is that I just want to leave the gondola there unattended and then return later to take the ash to be dumped when the car is full, but it will only load if a locomotive is coupled to it - which is rather inconvenient for the guy in the cab hooked to the gondola as it takes a locomotive off the active roster that could be better used elsewhere, not to mention a tear-jerkingly boring work shift or associated prototypical operational issues.

Is it possible to allow the gondola to fill up on it's own short of some convoluted Surveyor trigger scheme? (If it can be scripted, I'd be fine with that though.)

You need a LARS or PROTOLARS industry assset to load and unload without a locomotive attached.

Is it possible to use or reference the LARS/ProtoLARS script in a separate asset (as it appears the BI scripts are encrypted) to retain use of the original model/pfx without relegating them to static scenery?

The Protolars is just a section of track. You can place any buillding next to it. If the building has tracks attached, just lower the building 6" to hide those tracks and place the Protolars over top. I have done this for several industires on my route.

Most buildings with attached track will allow the track to change. There is also a line you can put into the config to also allow it to happen. All you need do then is attach invisible track and the asset track will become invisible.

My understanding of the issue is to have a ProtoLars track replace the attached track. I am not clear on how making the track invisible will help. The solution is to place the ProtoLars track next to the industry building in place of the attached track. There may be a way to remove the attached track in the config file. If so, I'd like to know how.
