Layers

I have been using transdem to create routes around Interlaken. All has gone well until I tried adding buffers and I got error report saying "Cannot add object as layer above that of the targeted track" . Can any one help?

All track objects (buffers, switches, signals, speed signs, etc) must be in either the same layer as the track or in a layer that is below (in the order of layers from top of the list to the bottom) the layer containing the track. My solution is to make sure that all these item always go into the "route-layer" with the track.
