larger map?

I just got TRS2006, though I did have the original Trainz.
I can't figure out how to make larger maps, and have been
trying everything that I can think of.
I think in the original Trainz, you could create blank maps, then
merge them. How do I do this with TRS2006?

Hello Microbuscity,
in surveyer you press "Topology" (the symbol in upper right corner),
then "Advanced"
then "extend"
and click on the edge of the map where you would like to
have an extension.

You mean add baseboards? Use the topology flyout, then advanced, then "Add Baseboard" or something.

The button is called extend (section) and then a baseboard is added if you click outside the edge of the existing baseboard.

Can you explain how to do this with trainz 12. I tried how you do it on 2006 but nope. So how did they change it for Trainz 12. make map bigger. Thanks Joe

Thank you for whoever asked an answered this!!! I've been in the same boat trying to figure that out. I've been tryin my best at creating the Front Range Sub in Colorado between Longmont and Denver North Yard and am only half way done. I ran into the same issue an was about to delete the route an create a smaller one. Now I don't!

Topology tab in Surveyor,
last one on the bottom, (section),
first one on the left (add ground).
Click on the empty space next to the route you're trying to enlarge.

It is not under advanced.
