I love this shortline more and more with each shot. You should have a few sidings to service the airport and supply jet fuel and other supplies. Maybe the airport owners decided to develop an industrial park nearby, and got something similar to this.
I think this locomotive is owned by the group that developed the airport. It would make for an interesting session to drive if you worked as the shortline engine driver and worked the interchange with the EBBF and working the park's industries.

Nice idea, I had a quick look at Google Earth and you can even spot that yellow switcher sitting there in the yard.
But actually the airport I have is much smaller having a single 3500ft runway only, intended for light aircraft mainly. The C-130 in those recent shots would hardly be a regular visitor, although it's takeoff distance is just good enough. The Constellation however would not have made it... I just felt like using that one for a nice shot.
So anything more than a single spur for fuel deliveries would be way over the top. Furthermore that area is pretty much done apart from detailing/ground texturing/vegetation and I have no intention to change all of it again, however I might be able to squeeze in said spur. I will think of it.
And no worries, there will be some interesting industries to serve elsewhere on the route.
