Hello Wearsprada,

The shot of the SD9 and GP9 is a stunner. I think the sky is a perfect backdrop.

I can't find the SD9 as available at the JR site. Hope it becomes so soon, and if so that it is offered with several alternative skins. I have it on good authority that SP paint shops had wide latitude in their selection of patterns for the application of the final protective dirt coating on the units. :hehe:

Those are both great looking pieces of equipment.

2 Amtrak P32BWHs lead a commuter run on my City and Country Minnesota route*. They have just left Rapid City,MN, and are heading to the portal...
Commuter services haven't been run by amtrak for 3 years, and have since been replaced by a startup company,owned and run by the Minnesota DOT. Equipment is typically a leased GP38-2, 4-6 horizon cars, and an F40PH in MDOT colors. Much has changed since this photo from Summer 2001...

* = route nowhere near completion, so don't expect this as the final product
