Both. The weathering rips the paint off and the sun fades it out.

This was part of the reason, these were also the first units to get the Warbonnet scheme when it was brought back and there was some serious problems with the paint that caused the catastrophic peeling that Justin is modeling quite well.

Justin, you are murdering the worlds greatest paint job, first you make it BNSF and now you put the warbonnet out of its misery. How do you sleep at night? Anyways great job on both, just not sure If'll pick them up when there are the prisine ones already avilable. Probably will anyways:hehe:
