No I think it is just a wreck rebuild they didn't paint. Still great work Rich!Absolutely believable. NS short on power so they took a dash 2 cab and stuck a widecab nose on it to pass regulations as lead unit....most probably I guess.
You would find it hard to tell the difference if you don't know that as they all look mostly identical.@OthersThanks for the info on the NS GP38-2. I prefer the short hood as it to me looks safer with the cab near the "front" of the train. The C&NW one is an SD80MAC, the paint and the bulge in the back give it away.
I guess T.O. user MR MRL gets credits for his idea then:hehe:. Very nice model Justin!
Your on T.O. to:hehe:? Awesome work on that Justin!
Looks awesome Matt, heres a quick reskin i done did.
Quick!!!?? I can only wonder what a more time consuming reskin would look like :udrool:
Fictional Russia Iron Boiler Jacket on the earlier prewar version of the SP SP-1 4-10-2.

This was done using the tbumpenv material, so it actually reflects the current sky. It isn't quite done yet, the rods still need to be polished, and the wheels and tender need to be cleaned and painted.
As you can also see, there are a few differences on the early version. A different pilot, larger headlight, different class lights, different bell, original spoked main driver, cylinder caps, and a smoke deflector. The smoke deflector does actually function too. Besides this fictional paint scheme there will be a few prototypical paint schemes. A green boiler jacket paint scheme, with white walls and stars on the drivers, rods all polished up and ready to haul your premier passenger trains. There will also be a clean shiny black version and a weathered black version.

Oh... My... God... It's beautiful! Will they be offered in a pack? I don't always get SP content, but when I do, it's going to be one of lilb's steam locomotives!
how about a white smoke box, white rods, and white walls?
That SD70ACeB would look good pushing coal trains! To my completely untrained eye I see a low headlight and a new grill on the side of the center one. edit* Ahh I see now, isolated cab as well.
I love that SD70ACEB! I have never really seen the practical point of B units. Why not buy cab units and then have more single units to use?
