It's a bit silly that the US Labor Day is in September considering the event that the May 1st date was originally commemorating took place in Chicago. It has to do with anti-communism or something. Doesn't really matter as the holiday, much like Memorial Day has become, is less about remembering the original purpose and more about what people can get on sale. #offtopicrant

I don't think it is good policy to to put all your eggs in a sale basket. Just because JR had a sale the past 3 years does not mean that they are guaranteed to do it again. They most likely will, but you never know. You could end up with a "buy something on Labor Day and get a Jelly of the Month Club subscription" sale.
