Thanks for the compliments everybody. About a half dozen more tanks to go and then you'll be able to get your hands on them.

That's a sweet tanker and track I agree! Has anyone ever considered creating placards for the tankcar placard holders with in the skins of any tankcar asset? They would go into the holder of the tankcars. I'm not asking for it, just additional wow factor on how good it looks. Being how that one is labeled for "Not for flammable liquids" it would not get a flammable liquids placard.

We've actually got this on our tank cars already. For these older-style cars, I made up a pre-DOT "dangerous" placard to use instead of the modern numbered ones. Of course, as you said, this corn syrup car won't be needing any.

It all depends what photos turn up, though I'm unlikely to do a second plain black skin just to carry a different product. The prototype I weathered from had its "not for flammable liquids" painted out, but it was coupled to some corn syrup cars so I have to assume that's still the service it was in.

That would be what someone would want you to believe. I am sure the real reason the GP9 is gone has to be some other reason. More likely someone thinking it was an eyesore or evironmental unfriendly/unsafe. LOL silly tree hugs.

They probly thought it was an eyesore, just like what happened to that big MLW C636 that got cut up for scrap. Hoping wherever it went it'll be nicely cared for.
