JointedRail stuff [screenshots/renders]

Guess what railway this belongs to.

<pic removed>

I basically butchered ryan's CP SD40-2.

If this could be reskinned in Pan Am Railways, it would be very appropriate. They purchased a few from CN and are now using them on their own lines today.

Sort of reminds me of MoPac, in a small way...

The Pan American was an express that the L&N ran from 1921-1971. "From Cincinnati to New Orleans in 24 hours, via the L&N".

John was actually referring to PAR, or Pan Am Railways, which is a rename of Guilford Transportation Industries. GTI was formed in 1982 when management, with support of Timothy Mellon, from American Filter Corp. This company also the owner of the MEC and a tie plant, purchased the Boston and Maine. Shortly after this merger, they purchased the Delaware and Hudson, busted unions, and reorganized as Springfield Terminal a non-union tiny subsidiary of the old B&M. There was then a strike as the company cut crews and deferred maintenance on their lines. As a part of their plan, they lopped off many side branches and mainlines as they focused east-west traffic. Loss in the cuts and abandonments is the old D&H line to Carbondale, the famous MEC Mountain Division, rails to Berlin, NH, and the Lower Road to Augusta, ME.

In their process of cutting, many smaller companies still wanted service, however, the company discouraged business by letting the lines rot anyway, and ignored court orders. On some of the lines, which are intact but embargoed, they sold off large sections, but maintain ownership in the middle to prevent service from being restored.

Being the modern company running the rails in our area, however, it would still be nice to see their engines modeled even though they are not well liked.
