JointedRail stuff [screenshots/renders]

On Topic: Ooh look, it's quadruple heading! Awesome!

Off Topic: Typing in caps not only makes you look like a berk, it also deafens the other members.

Back on topic: Those layouts look tasty!

I must say, you've got some of the best diesels in the game. the Utah Belt equipment is some of the best i have: i especially love the SD45s.

On that note:

great content you guys. You've definitely made me a lifelong customer!

preferences, as well as long hood forward operations :)

no point in having the desktop stands or the monitors up front if you are looking the other way sometimes.

No, I was just replying to this

I think they will be getting custom cabs soon. That cab is correct for most railroads except for NS. NS uses a diiferent cab on all its ES40DC and most of its ES44AC units.

Paul

But it would look great for all of your GEVO units to have this type of cab

Makes me wonder, why are their cabs so different compared to UP, BNSF etc..

Im from NZ, but Im a HUGE Fan of the North American Rail operations....:D
The 2 major differences are the computer screen placement, and the stand itself is shorter in lenght. There are several other small differences like radio placement and a few other things. ES44AC untis 8000-8023 have a cab very similar to the one in your first pic. All ES40DC units and ES44AC units 8024-8090 have a cab very similar to the one in your last pic. The type cab in your last pic is any NS only cab because no other railroad uses it. NS uses this configuration because they still run long hood first if needed. The reason 8000-8023 have the normal cab is because there were ordered on short notice for fast delivery and they were built to modified CSX specs. I hope this helps explain some of the difference.

Here are some pictures:
NS style cab in NS ES40DC (same as in ES44AC unit 8024-8090):http://www.railpictures.net/viewphoto.php?id=82143
NS style cab in NS D9-40CW:http://www.railpictures.net/viewphoto.php?id=105898
Normal style cab in CSX ES44AC(same cab as in NS ES44AC units 8000-8023 and also same as in UP ES44AC units):http://www.railpictures.net/viewphoto.php?id=311439
http://www.railpictures.net/viewphoto.php?id=340263
Normal style cab in BNSF ES44AC(same as in CP ES44AC also):http://www.railpictures.net/viewphoto.php?id=340263
CSX cabs are slightly different from everybody else because of where the radio is located.

Just got the Amtrak F40 Phase 3 from jointed rail, as well as the ATSF F7A and F7B. I used to have a lego model of the SF Super Chief F7A. but I took it apart and some of the bricks are part of another train that I am planning on giving some driving rods and special wheels. Seriously, I was amazed about the amount of detail on the F7A ATSF. Keep it up!
