Jointed Rail signals

I've tried to test is myself, but didn't get to finite conclusion. How do built-in JR signals handle signalisation on single-track sections?
For example, the station A with multiple tracks merges into a single-track with starter (JR 04). Than every 2 kilometers (block length) there are 2 JR 05 (one for heading A-B and one for B-A). And on the entry to the station B there is home signal (JR 04). As far as I have tested, I couldn't cause cornfield meet, neither when driving manually, nor with Ai. So far, so good.
But, if I have to diverge between 2 stations, in that case I would use JR 06 on the facing side. Could this 06 beeing non-premissive signal on the section where no passing is possible create deadlock situation?
