Is track with built-in catenary possible?

workin' away.......
I was sitting here playing around with my very own version of TRS 2006 when I had a thought: laying catenary that is separate from the track is difficult, so why not build it into the track? I am not sure if two parts of track can have different repeat lengths, but I have seen on some bridges that the individual spans are straight while the track on the bridge curves smoothly.

What I need to know, am I out of my mind with this thought?

It is very possible. The catenery will be part of the mesh. There are some Japanese bridges and track that have catenery already attached.

I agree placing the overhead wires is an awful and tedious job to get them to look right.
