Is combining assets possible?

Hi all. I'm currently working on a traffic region for my route. I have some good semi truck and trailer assets, however they are separate and therefore I cannot have trucks with trailers in the traffic. Is there a way I could somehow combine them using the config or something else? Or am I just out of luck? Thanks.

The assets have a mesh that is referenced by the config.txt file. Clone one then try adding in the other mesh and see what happens. Hopefully the position tag will help.

hm. not much luck there. Someone mentioned adding 'attachment points' but Im not really sure what they meant by that?

This would be a great project for someone creative to take up. Every time I take the freeway it seems as if it is trucks passing trucks everywhere I go. I think they are under-represented in our freeway traffic, at least. :) And of course, every truck stop is full of them!

Attachment points are needed to connect assets to each other otherwise they'll remain as separate pieces. This is how passengers remain in passenger cars while trains are moving and how loads can remain attached to flat cars.

There's a utility called attachment maker. You can download that here:

You also need the Mesh Viewer in order to find the position where to add the attachment using Attachment Maker. We recommend downloading the other tools too including PM2IM and Images2TGA.

You can add and change the vehicles on the roads by updating the config.txt of a region.

Very interesting. Ill look into it today. Thanks :)

Update: I did figure it out. Wasn't as hard as I initially thought. However after conducting a few tests I ran into a slight issue. Is there a tag or something that I can add in the config that would make it so the truck doesnt stop so far away from the car?
