Iportal group (new)

(dbl post, wouldnt let me edit)

Ok, I have an idea for how we could do the transfer of trains. I remember back when the server did work for me, and I was iportaling with another user. We discovered that you do not have to be online to receive trains, and that you could send them even when the user was offline, and they would receive it once they signed on and turned on the portal the train was sent to. That being said, my idea takes advantage of that, and allows me to work around my many hours at work. When you require product, PM a user in your group with a request like
"Hey, I need 62 boxes of general goods, and30 crysler automobiles"

that user would respond when they receive it with something like

"Order acknowlaged, I will have the order ready to be shipped to you within one day."

Once the order is ready to be shipped, the shipper would PM again with something like

"Your order is ready, and is on it's way to you. Please return the engine and all rolling stock within 2 days."

If you are doing multiple orders to multiple users, it could be something like this

"CN 2522 is on it's way to you with your order. Your order is the last 10 rail cars on the train. Please uncouple those cars, and send the remaining train to user _______. Notify me once you have rerouted to that user, and return my 10 cars within 2 days"

I can accept orders, however I cannot ship as I have no connection the the iportal server. I have PM'ed Tony hoping to get somewere.

Lastly, would all users in Group 1 please create a detailed, updated list of all rolling stock and engines used, aswell as products you will consume, and products you can ship. I will repost those lists in the opening post.

This system is we started using in our group shortly before the failure of the iServer. It works as an account of e-mail.

Should be counted, both the engine and wagons to know their origin, namely the first two digits identify the source: 01-borgof10 ,02-engine49 ,03-apache62, 04-engrasador, etc..

I'm not pessimistic, but I think that we should send more messages to the helpdesk, so that someone solves the problem of iServer.

Salut.

I sent a message to Tony, hopefully we'll get somewere. I see what you mean though with counting for everything. I have started creating a list that I will fill in with all the cars and engines I send out, and keeping track of them. I was going to create a list of all the stock in my yard, but I have since changed to a new system of pulling the needed cars off of passing trains.

What about creating a seperate forum for the iportal guys so we don't clog up this one? I know a place I can make a free forum off of.

well i already keep track of what locomotive si sen dout. cause i keep my speacail ones to pull yard-yards trians.

and ya i will start marking down whats in my yard, and my loco yard.

i will also try and get help from the desk

I have connection to the iportal server right now. I can start taking orders, and all going well I can get a shipment out tomorrow evening.

Do you guys think maybe we should go create a seperate forum were we can manage our iportal operations alot easier?

I see a connection that shows me online, but I tried to send trains back and forth between 2 of my computers and the iportal does NOT work.

We went through this before engine, I use those same engines :P yes they work in 2006.

Ok, forum is ready, I'll still be making some adjustments along the way, but it is functional. We will have to repost all asset lists there.
