Hi,

Newbie here - can anyone help me ? I had big issues actually downloading the files, got 3 by web client and 3 by manual ftp. Now I'm trying to install the game and am getting a message stating:

C:\Program Files\N3V Games\TS12\Trainz.exe An Error occurred while trying to read the source files: The source file is corrupted.

Have raised a helpdesk ticket - if anyone could help, it would be appreciated. I have a very impatient 7 year old who's been itching to get his hands on this all day !

Many thanks

Paul

Well sorry about the problems auran has said that there was been some issues downloading the files, I am guessing there maybe a lot of people downloading the files try later and see if you can get it to work. If after another try and still nothing I suggest tell the helpdesk about the problem.

Just to save you a bit of trouble...

There is an md5 hashing program available on Microsoft's website called FCIV.EXE. Run it against each file, for example:

FCIV setup-1a.bin

It should spit out a hash. Compare it with he values NikkA has provided each file. If they are different, you have a corrupt file.

This is best done from a DOS/command prompt.

I had a similar problem when downloading TS2010 and I was told that the file had corrupted due to the long download time of one of the files. I was told to use a download manager like this one which downloads the files quicker with less risk of corruption: http://www.freedownloadmanager.org/
Good luck
Joe:)

Well I download with firefox and everytime I download anything with Firefox it never has problems so maybe try that browser it has a download manager with it maybe. You could also try the alterate download link at Aurans store and see if that makes any difference.

Thanks guys - checked file sizes, the ones I downloaded via browser (Chrome) looked wrong. Re-downloading these using a manual ftp. Fingers crossed.............
