Inappropriate Behavior

Somebody who recently downloaded our SLSF caboose must have been extremely displeased with the product.

We received this contact form submission:

Behavior like this will NOT be tolerated! We put that contact form there for a reason, to help people with any problems they might have.

As for this person, he/she will not receive their support. If anything like this continues, we will drop ALL content support venues and services.

Yep, and people wonder why freeware content creators quit....

Can't figure out why..... nope.

They can't see past their self centered little universes.

My advice: Stick around till they quit. Nothing whizzes off a moron more than seeing you living well and seeing that their little rant amounted to nothing.

This sounds like something that happened on your third party site. Regrettable yes, but if that is in fact the case, why bring it up here in the Trainz Forum?

Cheers

AJ

To bring awareness all others of their ilk (the one who sent nasty comment) that such behavior is highly unwelcome?

To spread love and joy and fun to all little boys and girls? Oh wait, that's Santa.

*insert re-hash of nicky9499's comment* < - I agree with that.

Third party site issues should be dealt with there, not here. We are fortunate to have third party sites who in many cases produce excellent content which is much appreciated by the Trainz Community; however, if anyone has an issue with the third party content, it is best brought to the attention of that site directly for a quicker solution.

This is not a bulletin board for posting complaints about complaints from elsewhere.

Cheers

I'm probably the only one here who thinks that the comment on your asset was justified - providing he is using it in the Trainz version for which it was intended. You did ask for feedback and if the asset really does have errors why do you not want to hear about it? Or was it just the way he said it you don't like?

Paul

Perhaps it was, but the utter lack of tact in doing so was appalling. Any decent parent would whip a child who did that in real world.

The fact I make it all aid N do not know how to fix SP1 issues, nor did I know he has SP1
If you said it would work in TS12 then people downloading it would reasonably expect that it would work in TS12 SP1 (unless you said it wouldn't). Welcome to the wonderful world of N3V moving goalposts. It's not hard to make stuff SP1 compatible, the error and warning messages give you a pretty good clue on what you need to do and if you still can't figure it out it's all been covered here anyway.

If you don't have SP1 installed then you have a real problem, but I don't know why you wouldn't if you were making stuff to release.

Paul

This kind of topics is feeding the trolls and giving future trolls idea's.
Learn to ignore it or read between the lines and fix the errors; I am sure that is your time spend in a better way and with a tiny bit of research (or reading how by following the link) I'm sure you can figure out how.
What ever it is you do, don't waste time on posting stuff like this; you just gave someone a lot more attention then he/she deserves.

This is not a bulletin board for posting complaints about complaints from elsewhere.
So do what you as a good moderator do; clean the topic of the unwanted junk and lock it ;).

Some of us choose don't want or need to support SP1. I would appreciate a courtesy disclaimer (e.g. "this product has not been tested with TS12 SP1" or "We've received reports that this product has errors in TS12 SP1") but that's good enough.

Taylor and I have decided to put a very distinct disclaimer on the support page saying that we do not support SP1 related errors, considering our products are made for TS12 Build 49922.

I still do not understand why he should be attacked for something so stupid and so simple. It is pretty damn sad how bad the forums have become. I do not know who remembers the good days, but this is pathetic.

Not anymore. They'd be hauled off to jail in a heartbeat. At least here they would.

And that's the problem in this damn country. When the kids act up, they want to blame the parents. But when they discipline them, they're bad, abusive, and cruel parents. I say hand them over to us. The military will get them straightened out. And we used to be able to spank children, even in public but society has changed since the 1950s.

Ah, and we received another ill-mannered email via our contact venue. Just going to ignore it, and move on. :)
