Illuminated streetlight splines?

I've put numerous streetlight splines on my latest project, but noticed that they don't light up at night. Is this because they're splines instead of objects? Is it possible to make streetlight splines that actually light up at night? Or if there are any out there that do, I'd be really appreciative of anyone who could kick me in the right direction!:wave:
