If I delete a route, do I keep any of it's assets that I've used in my own routes ?

To clarify the question- If I delete a built-in or downloaded route, but have used some of the assets from the deleted route in my own route/session, will those assets remain in my own route/sessions or will they disappear when I delete the original downloaded route/sessions? Thanks, Rebecca

First, built-in routes are cannot deleted.
Second, every route only references the assets it uses, they are not in the route asset so if the route is deleted, the assets that were downloaded for that route will stay behind and available for other routes.

Thank-you! (I didn't know you couldn't delete built in routes-I had never tried it). Glad to hear I can keep my assets- and thanks for explaining HOW it works. Rebecca

You are able to disable built-in routes if you don't want to use them. Clears some of the clutter from the route list.
cheers,
Mike

This is how many of us mustered up gigantic collections of assets. :)

We've downloaded routes which require 700-plus assets, delete the route and the rest remains. Do that a few times and stuff adds up in addition to our own downloads over a decade. :D

Yeah, the good news is the stuff stays and as time goes on, you'll need to download less as you download other routes.

You can look at the date you downloaded the route and/or session and delete anything download with the same date.

90% of the time I only download stuff for routes, and don't specifically search for assets. Maybe if for Mac, the asset download was automated like it is for Windows, I'd have more DLS searching time.

Glad to see you back around Rebecca. The others have answered your question though I think. Expect newer routes to use more assets though, partiuclarly with TANE.
