Aside from your somewhat narrow view of Cape Cod railroading, it's great to see the trains are still running.
Once a branch commuter line of the New Haven RR, known as the 'Old Colony' route, originating at Boston's South Station, this route has a long, if somewhat troublesome history. The original trackage extended to Providence, RI, Newport, RI, and Provincetown, on the tip of Cape Cod. The New Haven ended passenger service in 1959 amidst much hullabaloo; srtanding a gaggle of commuters and most likeley contributing to Boston's perennial traffic woes (as well as Cape Cod's). The Cape Cod section, from Buzzaerds Bay to Hyannis, which has been operated under several names, as a scenic railway, has a 'on again - off again' record. So it's good to hear the trains are still running.
Amtrack and the MBTA have taken over much of the old mainline route.
Thanks for the pix.
