Would I be correct in guessing you guys are talking about the Amtrak p32 loco in that picture? It looks great but I'm guessing it's payware.

Still it looks great and the route too does indeed look spectacular. :)

Nope, it's trw1089's Amtrak P32ACDM, freeware at the DLS (IIRC).

Awesome shots, Zorronov! :D

Some USRA Mikes would be great, Tony! And, of course, I love any and all Hudsons. :)

Gisa, that pic was taken in TC3. This one is back in TRS06.

Today I installed 2 more gigs of RAM, a 1000W power supply, and two 8800GT vid cards in this machine. Now I can kick the draw distance up to 5690 meters and still get decent framerates...Yeahhh Buddy! :D

WOW! That sonds like a beast of a machine! :D

Must take a lot to slow it down...

I noticed that the locos were made for TC but I will see if I can import them into 04. They look great so it's worth a shot...

I must say your route looks great. A few questions; what year is your route based on, how far south are you going to go, and where did you get those amfleets?

Thanks

Xcom...thanks for the West Point pic. I'll use that.

flyboy...the year is the 20th Century. This layout is "temporally ambiguous." :D Peekskill is as far south as I'm going. The Amfleets are part of Magicland's Amtrak payware pack at ProTrainz.

A fellow trainzer asked some questions about waterfall effects in another thread and, since I didn't want to change the subject there, I thought I would post this here. Has anyone thought about water scooping? It was one of NYC's great innovations during the steam era. This is a rough idea of how I think it might look in Trainz. Of course, it should be triggered...

I once modified an industry to load water at the right track speed, I just never could get it to activate the water scoop animation (I was using the NYC Mohawk for testing). I'm sure someone who knew what they were doing could do it, though.

I know I saw one old item on DLS that might have been listed as a trough, I believe it was a spline item you placed on tracks. Looked like non-functional scenery.

Thanks for the info, mates!

transitguard...how did you get the industry to load water at the right track speed? Typically, as I'm sure you know, it was about 40 mph. Later locos could water scoop at speeds up to 75 mph.

Fred

Actually, marlboro's K5b has a section of scoop track with it that works with the K5b tender. Silly me...it was sitting on my hard drive all along. :D

Jeez Zorronov! You should release that soon.... does it go near GCT? Or Is it not exactly passenger? And, would you mind creating a 3rd rail version? Or would you mind if someone were to edit it for their own personal use and add 3rd rail? I'm supposing its from the streamliner era, hence the lacking of 3rd rail....

Cheers
Isaac
