HTF_SETH's Work

Small Video testing, rolling stock sounds. Just like Jointed Rail's cars. :)
(sorry for the music in the back, but don't worry I'm sure you can hear the train just fine :P
note: I recommend you play this at 720p the windows on the cars look weird on 1080p)

Snice I had done nothing in trainz today (other then adding/ updating sounds to all my repainted cars.) I'll show you a picture of a train in my first version of the EastBanks Railway.

I have no clear plans for this yard, I don't mean I have no plan I'm just going with the flow on this one... but I do have an ideal that I'm going to try letter (I'll need to extend the mainline first. XD)

oo, I think I'll in to that ^^ Thanks for letting me know, I thought it was impossible XD

Just play around with the Spline Points and Spline Straighten Tool. I tend to find I get the best results with S-US-S where S = Straightend, US = UnStraightend, and the US is where the Corner you want is. The automated Curving built in to the splines is pretty flexible.

I think Trainz is all about content making and sharing, the way the whole thing is set up makes it easy to do small changes to the trains that might need an upgrade. (like smoke effects (I'm very picky on that, after all that is the main issue of lag for me sometimes, after shadows) Rolling stock sounds, whistle/horn sounds, Engine sounds, and ever a whole paint job, small repairs and a lot more XD) The in-game route builder is easy to learn, yet powerful. I been playing trainz when 2006 came out as a gift.. I think I was only... 5-6? I dunno, I just knew I loved trains XD And I just picked it up again after Trainz: A new era came out, and fell in love with it again XD

I'll play with this game for years to come. :)

I'd agree with that sentiment. I would also add, that it is my belief that Trainz was originally built for the average Model Railroader. With the idea that, instead of spending hundreds or thousands of dollars and many many months building a Model Railroad in your garage that will probably never be finished anyway, you could instead the move the task into the realm of the virtual and do it there instead. I remember seeing an Auran Promotional Video for TRS'06 that did much the same as what your sped up Build video did, and I've always remembered that video. I think Trainz' best feature is the ability to build what you want, and then drive through it....

After that, I agree the abilities to share your work with others is a very interesting ability within Trainz. I just wish it perhaps had more facility to do that. For instance perhaps a Torrent style Packaging system to aid in the ability of users to Multi-player or IPortal. Imagine being sent new Rolling Stock because your Friend is sending you a train with cars or products you've never had before? It would be an incredible experience to make Multiplayer a *Little* closer say to Run8's experience, but with the full facility of Trainz' build-your-own-world engine....... The places this game *could* go are incredible.... I just hope they fix TANE sooner rather then later so we can move on to things like that.

I got it! :D
fixing my roads right now :) then enabling traffic afterwards. :)

I love that ^^ that's why I been playing this game for so long so far :D And the whole community is very helpful with all types of basic guides and such. That's what gotten me hooked to the building part of this game and introduced to me to the world of reskinning for trainz XD

OMG that will be AMAZING ^^ but that ideal could run into trouble with payware rolling stock and trains, but that'll be a simple to fix with a filter.^^
yea there are a few lag issues with T:ANE, mostly with shadows (for me) I can't play with them on, it kills the game XD

Class H8 are done ^^
In Coke .Inc colors
("Coke .Inc" is a secondary railway, main focus is in Passenger Service but do have some back up engines for the Eastbanks Railway (I did not come up with the name my friend did. :P))

I might change the Alpha Numbers on the tender later (it's so painful, just kidding. But I have to have like 10 windows open at the same time it drives me nuts XD)
the yellow just don't fit to well.. and the font sure don't fit on both the tender and the engine in my opinion
still go some more reskinning to do! XD but it looks good enough for now ^^

Well this happened during my ATLS traffic stopper tests. Well to be fair this is an unusual layout for an crossing
(note to self: Traffic stoppers works best at single track crossings.)

An little update on that yard.
0xXVsLh.jpg

I had added an engine shed, gotten all the textures down and I got a plan on what I'm going to do with the Eastbound track I left untouched.
(btw forget those oil takers blocking the entrance track there... heh... made a mistake while making a train to test the oil fields and... heh ^^' I left them there)

JWGyzuE.jpg

B.T Oil fields all done and such. I might add smaller details like trash later ^^

And a bonus for you guys ^^ some of engines crammed into the new shed XD

Just me driving around the railway, I'll start the major expansion plans tonight or tomorrow ^^ I'm getting tried of the same small area XD

Signals my friend.... Signals would be good. I HIghly recommend the freeware ones off of JR. Notably Safetrans for the areas you've got (Searchlight tends to be more out in the boonies).

As for ATLS Stoppers and Traffic Problems, theres a big Traffic Stopper available somewhere that will span up to 4 tracks comfortably. I forget where I found it. Google "ATLS Traffic Stopper" and see what turns up, if you can't find it on your own tell me and I'll see what I can do about getting you a KUID# to play with.

I already signaled the line ^^ I just missed that turn off and never noticed. Thanks for pointing that out xD
I was busy signaling my yard I must had missed the entrance singles ^^"

That will be perfect for this town layout :)
I'll look for it :)

Me too! :D
I still might add on to it, it still seem smaller then I hoped :3

Make a Unit Train Facility out of it if you want, with at least 3-4 Holding Tracks along the branch to it. If that doesn't make it big enough IDK what will. Mind, you need a Tank Farm capable of holding that much oil then.... And either a Port or a Refinery with all the accompanying Pipe work. If you go the refinery route theres a few Stacks floating around that have Flame Effects at their tops.

Sounds like an interesting ideal. A single track field is small, I might make use of the miti industry tracks in the process :)
I love tank farms ^^

Ok I'll look out for those when I get there ^^
