oo, I think I'll in to that ^^ Thanks for letting me know, I thought it was impossible XD
I think Trainz is all about content making and sharing, the way the whole thing is set up makes it easy to do small changes to the trains that might need an upgrade. (like smoke effects (I'm very picky on that, after all that is the main issue of lag for me sometimes, after shadows) Rolling stock sounds, whistle/horn sounds, Engine sounds, and ever a whole paint job, small repairs and a lot more XD) The in-game route builder is easy to learn, yet powerful. I been playing trainz when 2006 came out as a gift.. I think I was only... 5-6? I dunno, I just knew I loved trains XD And I just picked it up again after Trainz: A new era came out, and fell in love with it again XD
I'll play with this game for years to come.![]()
Just play around with the Spline Points and Spline Straighten Tool. I tend to find I get the best results with S-US-S where S = Straightend, US = UnStraightend, and the US is where the Corner you want is. The automated Curving built in to the splines is pretty flexible.
I'd agree with that sentiment. I would also add, that it is my belief that Trainz was originally built for the average Model Railroader. With the idea that, instead of spending hundreds or thousands of dollars and many many months building a Model Railroad in your garage that will probably never be finished anyway...
...you could instead the move the task into the realm of the virtual and do it there instead. I remember seeing an Auran Promotional Video for TRS'06 that did much the same as what your sped up Build video did, and I've always remembered that video. I think Trainz' best feature is the ability to build what you want, and then drive through it....
After that, I agree the abilities to share your work with others is a very interesting ability within Trainz. I just wish it perhaps had more facility to do that. For instance perhaps a Torrent style Packaging system to aid in the ability of users to Multi-player or IPortal. Imagine being sent new Rolling Stock because your Friend is sending you a train with cars or products you've never had before? It would be an incredible experience to make Multiplayer a *Little* closer say to Run8's experience, but with the full facility of Trainz' build-your-own-world engine....... The places this game *could* go are incredible.... I just hope they fix TANE sooner rather then later so we can move on to things like that.

Signals my friend.... Signals would be good. I HIghly recommend the freeware ones off of JR. Notably Safetrans for the areas you've got (Searchlight tends to be more out in the boonies).
As for ATLS Stoppers and Traffic Problems, theres a big Traffic Stopper available somewhere that will span up to 4 tracks comfortably. I forget where I found it. Google "ATLS Traffic Stopper" and see what turns up, if you can't find it on your own tell me and I'll see what I can do about getting you a KUID# to play with.

I like the oil fields!!
Me too!
I still might add on to it, it still seem smaller then I hoped :3
Make a Unit Train Facility out of it if you want, with at least 3-4 Holding Tracks along the branch to it. If that doesn't make it big enough IDK what will. Mind, you need a Tank Farm capable of holding that much oil then.... And either a Port or a Refinery with all the accompanying Pipe work. If you go the refinery route theres a few Stacks floating around that have Flame Effects at their tops.
