Hello

Today I went down to the local BNSF switching yard 20 minutes from my house to talk to some guys working at their office there. I work in the door and explain to them that I am just looking for some experience, or just to volunteer. They looked at me like I was stupid, like i didn't get a 1900 on my SAT's.

So how exactly do you get into this industry if you don't know anyone on the inside?

Try going to the BNSF website and look for customer service and send them an email about what you would like to do.

I checked the BNSF website for openings, and there are... i just have to move half way cross country! Good idea though.
