Been seeing people needing help with using photobucket.com
This Tutorial assumes you have an account (free:)) at photobucket
Letters correspond to the letters in the pic below.

1st you click the Upload the image (almost any type will work, they'll convert to a required file) click the "Browse" button (C)
2nd click Upload (D) to upload the picture
3rd click on the desired coding version text. it automatically copies it to your clipboard (A). For the forums us the IMG Code (B).
4th just paste the IMG code into your message body.

photobucket.png

Key:
1 = URL tag, for use in IM, Chat, email, etc
2 = HTML tag, used for putting images on a website/webpage.
3 = IMG code, for use in forums.

Screenshots

Hello Peter, I am trying to follow your step-by-step guide and have got as far as creating a sub-folder in Photobucket with my images in, however, how do I now get these onto the Trainz forum website please ???

Thanks, ex-railwayman.

underneath the thumbnail of the image there are three boxes labled: URL tag, HTML tag, IMG Code. click in the box for the IMG one, and then come here and paste it in with your post.

I should mention that when using the IMG code to post something in a forum you do NOT need to use the insert image button in the forum.

I also should remind you of the CoC image regulations:
Screen shots posted to the Trainz Community Discussion Forums should be in .jpg format and not exceed a maximum resolution of 640x480 pixels*. Any screen shots that exceed this limit will be modified to links or removed from the post altogether.

*The only exception to this is within the Screenshot forum. Screen shots posted to the Screenshot forum should be in .jpg format and not exceed a maximum resolution of 1600x1200 pixels, however, if your screen shot exceeds 800x600 you are required to include the maximum resolution used in the title of the thread.

if your image is grater than the limit, and not in the screen shots area; use the direct link version, and make it a URL.
