How to drive in TS19?

I am not a newbie nor an expert with trainz but this TS19 is giving me much grief. I have two station far apart, each one with a train, doble track between station, signal and direction markers. The most elemental tasks in any train simulator is to have both trains follow a path back and forth. Maybe my setup is wrong and the bloody trains do not move. Where can I get a guide? very frustrating to say the least, thanks.

The first thing that I would do is to check that they can be driven manually, using either the keyboard controls or the throttle dial. It could be that they are refusing to move under AI control because of a broken track spline or some other obstacle.
