How to disable grade tool on surveyor 2

Hello.
Grade tool open when i set a spline.
How to disable it when i dont need it and make sure my spline settle on the ground anytine.
This is realy nerve taking. Even when i click on Delete in the tool window, it start again with foolish grade values at the next spline i create.
I did not find any way to stop this. I have to settle on ground every spline i set.

Hi, just set the grade tool to a -
This will set splines to follow the terrain.
Grade = 0 is no gradients
Grade = - is follow terrain.

If you use the Eyedropper to select a spline/track in your route then it will also copy that spline objects grade setting. If I do not want that to be copied I simply delete the contents of the grade after using the Eyedropper.

Yes it work but you have to set grade on - every time you use eyedropper, its realy weird. Is there a way to lock grade tool on - all the time ?
