how to create a turnout with frog ?

I'm completely new to Trainz 22.
I have spent a good amount of time playing with the surveyor2, looking to 'play' with some model layouts.
I have a few beginner questions which I have not been able to find any answer to
  1. how can I create a turnout with frogs and flanges?
  2. sometimes when I do a crossover, only 1 end gets a switch stand, how can I 'force' add a junction switch stand?
  3. can I create a turnout as an asset (e.g. #5, #6 etc.) and use those instead of this freehand, eye balling turnout?

Procedural track will create frogs and flanges.
Try the tracks made by trainboi1.

No. 2 I'm not sure how to answer. Need to see how you're building your crossovers.

You can create turnout assets, but only in a 3D app like Blender or 3DS Max.

There are already a number of those on the DLS.

Occasionally when a junction is formed it will not include a switch lever, these can be added manually and can also be swapped to the opposite side of the track if necessary.
Turnout assets are now superceded by procedural track which has far more flexibility of use than using an asset.

@grazlash - Aren't many of the DLS turnouts those overly complicated to setup Russian one's?

Most of them are both Eastern European and very difficult to set up, particularly the ones linked to a second turnout.
Does procedural track only work for straight turnouts?, if I try to create a turnout on a curve it straightens the route
Theres a trick to that, try adding a small portion of track before the turnout, straighten it and then move the spline point closer to the turnout usually, to within a metre of the turnout spline point so they just overlap.

Hi, I've been looking for some turnout assets as I want to create crossovers and slips. I use the procedural track for basic turnouts but would like some fixed track assets to. Can you help me find them. Thanks.
