How do I install non-CDP/CMP files?

I just got an LIRR M7 repaint from a third-party source, but it comes as an extracted folder instead of a CDP or CMP file. How do I install it?

Assuming TRS06 or later, open CMP/CM2 and either just drag the folder into the window or choose 'Import Content' from the 'File' Menu. If you have TRS04 let us know, it's a bit more involved and I'm not going there if I don't have to...

I have had content in folder format and had no sucuess in figuring out how to get it into Trainz.

I'm guessing you have TRS2004 or older? I'm sorry, but I can't help you with that.

If the file is a .zip format, unzip it into a temp folder. If you have TRS2006 or later versions, use CMP and select File - Import Content and point to the folder. If you have TRS2004, rename the content folder to put it into the form kuid xxxxx yyyyy or kuid2 xxxxx yyyyy n then copy or move the newly named folder to the ..\Auran\TRS2004\World\dispatcher\downloads folder.
