Helpdesk response?

One thing to be aware of though is that N3V do not work weekends, so it will be Monday before they will check. Also, they get a lot of requests.

Thanks Sprinter. It seems very odd that you can download some and not others. It will be good to have the screenshots so we can see if anyone else can replicate the errors
 
OK, here is what MyTrainz says about the Download Station. The only thing missing from here is TS2 Mac which was purchased and registered before TS12.




One of the assets I tried to download. I came here after multiple downloads within TS 2 Mac had failed while I was trying to figure out what was going on and why....



When I get something to blank out all my serials, I'll link an image of what I have registered.

You haven't ever bought two copies of 2006? I'm still thinking a duplicate account somehow is involved.

Though I haven't said anything until now, I've been thinking the same. This might be his problem. N3V is responding to his problem, however, they are responding to the other SprinterASC and not the one posting here in the forums.

If I were he, I would:

1) Go into the helpdesk and verify that the tickets are there under My Tickets.

2) Ensure I am using the SAME username and password used to access the forums here, and ensure it's the SAME username and password in Content Manager.

My thinking on this is if he's using the same credentials for TRS2006, other assets won't download and he'll get the unknown content problems. If he is using the same credentials for all other versions, then he should be able to download properly.

If anything I would contact the helpdesk again, via another ticket, and inquire about the missing versions from the profile, and perhaps have them merge accounts if that's the case.

Although the games are registered, has each game been validated? Have you gone into settings in the CM and entered your details and connected them to the DLC?

Logged into help desk, all tickets present. Same userid works at simulator central as well however the purchases made at sim central do not appear in MyTrainz

Have any of your tickets, under my tickets, been responded to?

If not you might want to submit an update and see if that creates a response.

Is the password and username and password, the same on Simulator Central? This is all related to your MyTrainz (Planet Auran) account and the one used here on the forums.

Outside of that, it definitely appears to be an issue on N3Vs end if everything is proper. I even started a thread on this because you are not the only one who has had issues like this recently with registration details not showing up.

Good on the username/password on SC.

I've never had any issue with tickets not being responded too. I've had some late responses, but I mentioned in the ticket that the problem was no rush at the time. I used to work a helpdesk at a big company where I supported about 700 people internally plus field locations. I closed at a minimum 350 tickets myself every month so I know that things can get a bit hairy at times.

I suppose I am frustrated because I cannot use my new toy, I was really looking forward to getting back into Trainz. Did I spit the dummy? Possibly, do I regret saying some of the things I did? Yup Can I take it back? Nope Anyhoo, am now at the mercy of help desk....

You are a better man than me :) I couldn't do a help desk job, I was a programmer many moons ago and just dealing with users was enough for me :)

Damn, and here I was getting ready to scrape up enough for a ticket to Oz to come and see the reaction on the faces of the people at the Govt dept. you were going to go and see and complain to. :D

Well, they have been acknowledged, that's a start. You can bet support are aware and monitoring this thread also, so now thanks to your detailed explanations and most importantly your screen-shots, it has given them a better idea of the issue resulting in starting point to look and try and resolve the problem. I wish you the best of luck and a speedy resolution and hope for a fast return to trainz.

In the meantime, don't go near water unless you're a shark wrangler, and don't seek a career in Australian politics.

Well I logged another help desk request noting that the link between here and the DLS/Trainz seemed to be broken, supported by the 3 images I uploaded here. We'll see what happens with that one :)
 
I am very happy to report that my download issues now seem to be fixed. The last ticket I lodged was responded to within 30 minutes by Brenton who cured all my problems with the DLS. I am super happy now and am totally trashing my download limit as we speak.

While my little station thing next to my name is still AWOL is doesn't seem to be having an effect of anything else.

That's good news!

You're not the only one lately with AWOL stations. Heck, that's like a lot of old rail lines around my neck of the woods.
