My trainz 2006 won't load. It freezes every time I go to load it. I don't know if it is my computer or the game or something else. I have already uninstalled and reinstalled it 2 times. It may possibly be the cmp, because it worked fine untill I tried loading cmp content onto the game. Any help would be much appreciated.

There are probably hundreds of threads here about getting Trainz to work, and some of them are even in the right sections of the forum! I suggest a search would help you. I also recommend you post your system specs, perform a DX diagnostic and post those results as well. When we have enough information, we will be happy to make suggestions.

Theirs your problem same thing Happened to me it don't like something. Mine freezes the WHOLE computer sometimes while playing. the more content the more problems Fact of trainz.

Sorry, these are not the fact of Trainz, you both have some serious learning to do, you need to read some of the older posts in the TRS2006 forum !

It's highly unlikely that importing content via CMP would cause the game to freeze, crash, or not boot. Now, if you use faulty content in a map, I suppose some unpleasant surprises could rear their ugly heads, but that is why CMP provides you with the facilities to check content for errors: both critical and not, and for missing dependencies as well.

The game refusing to start may indicate a more systemic problem than faulty content. At least I would approach the problem in that manner.

I had the same problem.

The problem is that CMP had an issue and decided to glitch up. This happens to me all the time. (i actually just fixed it again lol) What happens when this occurs is your launcher.exe doensn't close when you start the game or open CMP. What you need to do is go to the launcher, then open CMP. Next open task manager (CTRL+ALT+DELETE just incase you didnt know but im sure you do) and go to processes. click on Launcher.exe and press end process. Your CMP will then tell you that it is rebuilding the asset database. Wait for this to finish(it will take several minutes) and everything should be back to normal.

Did you run TrainzDiag to see if your PC passed all the tests to run Trainz? C:\Program Files\Auran\TRS2006\Bin\TrainzDiag
What's your PC Spec?
