Driver Commands Wiped After A Database Rebuild

Hi All

Just a question I am running 4 trains on my layout and yesterday I inputted the commands for each driver i.e. drive to trackmark, driver to station, load etc into the driver setup. This morning on starting trains during loading it did a database rebuild and when I loaded my route all my driver setup commands had gone and had to reinput them.

Also the Driver Command shows this when you click the edit button.

ERROR: PropertyBrowserRefresh()NotHandled A script error occurred while attempting to edit the properties of this asset

Any help would be much appreciated

Can you post the following information:-
  1. Your Trainz version - its build number would be ideal
  2. The <kuid> of the Driver Command asset.
I did have a similar (but not identical) problem a while back and found that there was/is an update to the Driver Command (for my version of Trainz) available on the DLS. That solved the problem.

Hi Thank you for your reply.

My trainz version is T:ANE SP4 build number 105766

The kuid of the driver command is Kuid:-25:1574

hope this helps

thanks Kevin

My trainz version is T:ANE SP4 build number 105766
That is the latest (and last) build for T:ANE.

The kuid of the driver command is Kuid:-25:1574
That is the latest version of the Driver Command (uploaded to the DLS in May 2025) and its build number (2.5) will work in TRS2006 and all later versions including TANE SP4.

Clearly something had happened that forced an automatic DBR.

My first suggestion:-
  1. Open Content Manager, click inside the Filter: Installed box at the top of CM and select Custom from the drop down list then enter Driver Command into the Filter: Name box.
  2. Right click on <kuid:-25:1574> Driver Command and select View Errors and Warnings
You may see the following warning but it will depend on your version of Trainz (I don't know what TANE will show)
"VE48: This asset uses an obsolete trainz-build number. Trainz-build numbers below 3.5 are no longer supported."
which can be ignored. Any item in the list that has a yellow triangle in front is a warning which you can ignore. Any item with a red triangle is an error which cannot be ignored.

Does the Driver Command show any Error (red triangle) messages?

If there were no errors then sometimes, when the moon is in the right phase, just performing the View Errors and Warnings action can clear the problem.

If there were errors then right click on the Driver Command asset in CM and delete the asset. It should now show "Available for Download". Right click on it again and select Download.

WARNING: There is currently a major server problem, no-one can access the DLS so do not perform the suggested delete until full access is restored.

My second suggestion:

Perform a manual DBR.

Driver Setup just errored on me a few minutes ago. When checked for errors there are none. I ran a DBR and it did nothing after clearing the cache/library folder.
