Hi everyone. I wrote a big long post in my last thread requesting more help with a route that I am building. But the thread had drifted wildly and the post was very long so I don't blame anyone for not reading it. In addition, I've answered, or found answers to some of the questions I had, so although this is a kind of a double post, I'll get to the point quickly this time.
I'd like to make track switching automatic - so far I can do this for computer-driven trains (obviously) but for user driven trains, keeping to a 'drive on the left' principle, I'd like to set it up some way so that the user never/rarely has to throw a switch themselves.
I've been using the mgreen48 road set almost exclusively for the road transport network of the region, and although it provides for virtually all my requirements, I'd like to get something better for my interurban road network which is a bit of a shambles. If I could find a matching Dual carriageway, which could be based on the Boulevard with Centreline Barrier, I could make my route a lot better. I would be grateful if someone who's good with asset making/editing tools could make such an asset.
In particular reading this forum, I saw that paulzmay has used the same road set in his setup, but he's managed to make/use modifications that were until today beyond my wildest dreams, if he would be kind enough to tell me what exactly he's doing there, I could not only try to make up a dual carriageway of my own but also add some variety and zest to my routes urban road networks.
Finally, I'm not sure if I'll ever 'finish' the project per-se, more like get to a point where I will have done all I can with it. There could by that time still be room for improvement or an imaginative addition: would anyone be interested in taking a large fantasy route and puttting their own twist on it?
I would now post screenshots but I can't post in that forum for some reason.
Thanks in advance
