Help With Gmax

It starts up okay, and shows everything, but when I go to do something, parts or the whole screens will turn black or white:

I run Windows Vista Home Premium with Intel Pentium Desktop processor. Any other information on my computer is here:

Computer Website... Some information is not exact.

Have a look at Blender being a more recently updated program it can cope with Vista and is useful for creating normal mapped content. There are some details in the Wikibook.

I'd use Blender, but if you insist on using GMax it will run fine under Vista. Right click on the *.exe and set it to run in XP compatibility mode and turn off 'Desktop compositing' ( I think that's what it's called in English...)
