Good choice, Richard! We all hope your son (and of course you too because you will be drawn in) have a great time with Trainz. As for a scenario of choice, anything with a 101340 kuid number . The Razorback series will also provide hours of enjoyment.

As far as 'not giving CMP enough time', I am retired and tried for a solid week with only very marginal success. That would have put me off the game completely had I not used 2004 already

The point am trying to make is that its not easy to change to a different way of doing things. I also have MSTS (sound's like a disease) but could not work out how to create routes for it, download things, etc, having got so used to trainz 06. Likewise if i had started with trs2004 am sure i would have problems with CMP (which i did at first in 06 because i didn't take the time to learn it properly). Another point, if CMP had been around from day one, there would not be so much faulty content around,(slowing down frame rates) as CMP flags up faults.
