hi all

the qr garratt, the nsw garratt and the nsw 95 class loco's all do not brake like the diesels do.

they always run through the red signals after the caution ones.

is there any way that i can increase the braking to make them stop better?

thanks
ron

go into their engine config files and change the deceleration parameters to something like 10000. if you don't know how to do this firstly go into Content Manager then find the loco you wish to change...then right click on it...then select the view dependencies and then select the view in main list...there should be a dependency that is called enginespec or something like that...open that for edit in explorer and open up the config file...scroll down to max-decel and change that figure to 10000. That will make the AI stop faster but won't affect it when you're driving in Cab mode!

Alternatively, search for and download "A1 Brake".
This is an invisible loco with enormous braking power, put it into your consists after the tender.

yeah that AI brake works but will cause other issues if you forget it's there! It could cause problems when using the uncouplez command and many others. Altering the config is the simplest alternative

of CMP won't open press ctrl-alt-del and goto task manager. then under the process tab make sure there isn't any content processes running. I find that I sometimes have up to 4 or 5 running and it won't let me open it again...don't know why

hi

thanks again

how do i set the qld diesels to do the same thing?
