Help needed with deleting assets

Hello all, over the last few days I have been deleting old assets that I don't use or need because the storage on my computers hard drive is running low (15gb left). After deleting about 25gb worth of content in content manager, my computer says it still has 15gb of storage. Once I click delete in content manager on each of the assets I thought they were removed. Is there something else I need to do to remove each asset so I can gain storage back in my computer? Thanks!

I think they are in backups in the userdata folder. Date sorted.
