Have Auran shot themselves in the foot?

My First class ticket ran out on the 30th January.

I've been buying a full year FCT since I bought TRS 2004.

But, because Auran seems to have upset so many of the content creators and the lack of new content being uploaded to the DLS, I can't see the point of buying anymore.

The odd item that might get uploaded to the DLS, I can down load via FTP.

So I think I shall save my money now, so that I can buy some of the excellent Payware content.

Who else can't see the point of a FCT now?

Admittedly, it's probably worth waiting to renew until they fix it - perhaps it's a more worthwhile protest than not uploading...

Its not really a protest. I find myself thinking it hasn't any value anymore. Which why I think Auran may have shot themselves in the foot.

I've never personally wasted my money with it.
I just figured out my DL Helper a month ago and it seems to have fine Download speeds as it is.
Plus, I'm an avid user of the FTP link, it works great for me, it just doesn't find all the dependencies like CMP does.

I'll agree with you on this one, I don't see a point in buying, the money you save on that could be spent on far better items such as RRMods or Jointed Rail.

I have never used the one that came with the CDs. I also use the FTP like Woody. But then, I have never tried to download a complete layout either!

Nothing......Nothing at all, because there is NOTHING happening.What I am concerned about is the growing numbers of threads complaining about lack of info or communication from Auran like we used to get in the old days.

I fear personally that all is not well at the old firm.It appears that NV3 are still pumping out games,but my gut feeling is that trainz has run its course as far as NV3 are concerned,but I hope Im wrong.

Right now I wouldnt buy a first class ticket under any circumstances until we know whats happening,but dont criticize the couple of staffers we know are still there.Its not their fault.

We know that a couple of people try their best, and on their own time a lot of the time too, but they can only do so much, and only when they are allowed to do so.
