Hamburg V6E Tram Layout

Hello Mark.

I`ve been following this topic for a long time now and I must admit that a great job has been done so far regarding your project !

Best of luck in finishing it !

Thanks guys for all your kind comments about my tram route.

Unfortunately owing to other commitments, I haven't had chance to do any work on it for the past few weeks. Hopefully I should get some spare time next week to complete it.

Here's a couple more screenshots of my route, showing the recently released re-skin by CJ187 of Bald's excellent Tatra KT8D5 model in Sarajevo colours (available from www.TRSBerlin.com):

I’m really looking forward to the release of the Plzen KT8D5 models as I had the pleasure of riding on those a few months ago :)

You will note the re-skin of Kemplen's Mk1 Ford Transit in the first screenshot; I'm just waiting for Andy's permission to upload it and a few other German based Transit re-skins to the DLS...............

Check out Neoklai's animated people as well, great fun....

Click the header just above the picture on Neoklai's site - takes you to another screen where you click on the link next to the filesize to download the cdp.

Great screenshots Mark.

As well as putting the finishing touches to my adaptation of Spikerod's Mittelstadt for the V6E tramcars, I'm now also working on a V6E adaptation of his Frankenberg tram layout.

The basis of my adaptation is the provision of a tram depot at the Steinweg loop, the upgrade to double-track running over the majority of the route to cut-down on Trainz signalling problems, and split-street running between Steinweg and an expanded road junction near the fairground.

Here's are a few screenshots:

The outbound and inbound tram lines split at an expanded junction near the fairground.

Whilst posting the above screenshots, I would also like to share with everyone that there has been some recent updates on Rolf's V6E website about work on the his Hamburg V7E cars. During the past week the V7E tramcar body has received it's texture.

Please check out http://www.v6e.de/html/aktuell.html for a look at the new V7E tramcar model.

Hello Mark. Impressive pictures, I must say!

Could you please tell me where have you found the "letters" you used to write DEPOT STEINGWEG ?

Here's a couple more screenshots showing today's progress with my adaptation of Spikerod's Frakenberg:

Both screenshots are at the Steinweg end of the layout looking towards the city.

can you release the v6e rout this year? pls!

Unfortunately, I cannot make any promises about when my V6E tram routes will be available as it spends on how much time I get to work on them. Having said that, I'm hoping to have my re-work of Spikerod's Frankenberg layout for the V6E's on the DLS this weekend; with my re-work of Mittelstadt between Christmas and the new year.

In the meantime, here's a few more screenshots from my re-work of Frankenberg:

Thanks for the kind comments.

Most of the items are available on the DLS, although many items are from other sources such as www.trsbingen.de, www.trsberlin.de, and http://www.trainzdepot.net. If you have got "Altstadtlinie" by Connyxy, you will have most of the content required.

Now for a few more screenies:

A shortage of serviceable trams lead to previously withdrawn V6E 3601 (with adverts removed) being brought back into service. It is seen operating line 2 at Brandenburger Tor.

what is about this route? can we hope to find it this year in the dls?

GERMAN: Können wir hoffen diese Strecke noch in diesem Jahr auf der DLS vorzufinden?

Unfortunately, with my current work on the adaptation of Spikerod’s fantastic Frakenberg and Mittelstadt routes, I doubt I will get the chance to do anymore with that particular route until the new year.

As a rough guide, Frankenberg V6E will be available on the DLS before the end of December and Mittelstadt V6E by the end of January 2010. The route you mention will be available sometime after that. Sorry I cannot give a definite release date, but I’m only really doing these routes for my own personal enjoyment; releasing the routes is more of an afterthought.

With the cold winter weather outside I have spent today inside and 7 hours working on Frankenberg. Here are a few screenshots of today’s progress:

That's enough work for today; It’s now time to sit back and relax with a few cans of beer. I think I deserve it :)
