WHY does this #@$%#&^ forum keep arbitrarily deciding to mark all threads read for me even though I've only read a few of them ?!?!?!? :n::n::n::n::n:

Actually, I do accept cookies. Also, the problem is highly intermittent. I can go for weeks without seeing it, and then suddenly it will hit me several days in a row.

Depends on how long you take to read things or leave your browser here. It will mark all threads as read for you. It has done that to me if I am reading and then go do something else for a while.

Use your browsers 'Back' button rather than opening index pages anew, that will keep what was unread when you arrived unread till you leave...
