Got Bort85's Clone

Hello everyone I looked at Content Manager and saw that copycat from author "runtik" like Bort85's clown, just info that speed library belong to Auran not him
Let what happened on runtik ?

Just spotted this, they are clones. The so called creator has left the original screenshot in the asset I checked, BMO Bushes and Trees, the speedtree library is essentially just a config file, straight copy of Aurans. Deleting the downloads now.
There is also the Stahl Coils which is ripped of from from I believe gerd, his licence does allows redistribution so why bother cloning?
Afraid we have another cloner.

This guy is on the loose. The stuff is for "Multipleer"

If I remember correctly, that's the same reason Bort85 supposedly did it for as well. Luckily I think it's been identified at a fairly early stage.

As always, it is up to the original creator of the assets to contact us. If we have several creators contact us, then we can take further action. We won't remove content on the idea that it may have been uploaded without permission, we will only remove the content if it is certain that the content was uploaded without permission, and as such only the original creator can inform us of this.

If you believe the original creator(s) of the asset(s) is unaware, then please inform them of this directly. They can then contact us via the helpdesk regarding this.

This is intriguing - if the original creator has left the community or, even more definitively, is deceased, then they cannot contact you to complain. So does this mean that the clones of their creations will remain on the Download Station?

It seems that "Krash_01" is at it again as well, and two new fellows, "Vologda", and "er2k1017" and "zubikk" (who seems to have re-uploaded "Clam1952's" trees).

No screenies, no descriptions...seemingly "Russian" or some other former Soviet state.

What about the 1000's of Assets from guys like "Krash_01", which appear to be nothing more than Spamming of the DLS...someone brave enough to download some, said the assets are all exactly alike, and appear to be just a Config file, if I recall correctly from the last time. (Last incident, before the Forum crash).

Zec - if you look closely at what's been uploaded, one of the assets is the SpeedTree library, created by yourselves. Isn't that enough to tell you something is amiss?

Gents; I don't know what the problem is. Would you let a guy like this into your house? Why is "Bort's stuff" still here? These guys need to be banned forever. Then you have to make sure they never get back in with another address and name. You need someone to jump on this kind of thing right away. If you don't, you may end up with a whole lot of problems. People like this are trash, get rid of them before they stink up the place.

The problem Rick is that N3V require the original creator to contact them, or several affected creators to contact them (the latter is easier), in order for them to take action (although it was easier with Bort85 after I got a thread started regarding it and somehow managed to get the content removed that way).

Hi Shane; What the heck is this reserved crap!? What if a bunch of other people decided to do that? I like to have a peek at what the folks have done every morning. After a couple of miles of "reserved" I just gave up.

I can't believe Bort, for one, is still a member. I hope he's not. ALL of "his" files should have been removed. I still see some. This is far worse than someone shooting their face off in the forums. I will never be a creator, but it really ticks me off when someone steals another's work and takes credit for it.

Real shame it has come to this sort of behavior just for the sake of having it on the DLS. Hope the new T2 or what ever it is called is better organized as there is just way too much of crap being put on there just for the hell of it.

Bort85's files are listed but not downloadable, you get a removed message. If nothing else it might help those who have downloaded routes that contained his clones from before he was stopped, from asking where they are.
 
What about Runtik there were a heap more of his today plus the 1000 or so from krash dude, I suppose at the end of the day it works out better for the DLS or nothing folks.

Thanks for that info Malc. I thought I had tried to delete them from my manager sometime ago, but still see them. I must have forgot to do it. Nothing new for me these days!
