Hello,

Thanks for your reply. This will be a prototypical Hungarian Catenary system, it is 99% similar than the german system you have.
Will be compatible with KlausM's system, any yes, it will be compatible with TS2009 (will require compatibility mode).

Re 4/4 Iv - Swiss Top flop

07-014.jpg

This one is somewhat special. The Swiss federal railways wanted a new and powerful locomotive using state of the art tecnology (we are speaking late 70'ies) and the result was a small flight of four engines of the Re 4/4 IV type numbered 10001 - 10004.

The powerpack relied on thyristors and this proved to be a very powerfull but unstable solution, so only the four prototypes were built, and after a short time - mostly spent waiting on sidings because of malfunctions and lack of spares - they were sold off to the privately owned Südostbahn, where they still serve with distinction as Re 446 111 - 114 sporting a variety of colorfull full body commercial paintjobs.

As you might notice the bogies are missing but opposed to the NPZ they are decently covered in books and photos, i.e. tentative release before Christmas.

First test bake of the normals maps for the main building... The windows are fine, but I need to tweak the material ID's for the main building for the projection maps :)

If anyone has any suggestions, please let me know :) Remember, it's not finished, so suggestions are best left now! :P

One SBB Vacuum cleaner to go.

Due to its shape the very noisy air intakes and the inherent extreme noise inside the cab at high speed this locomotive quickly earned the nickname "Staubsauger"

Cernavoda Bridge, the bridge across the main branch of the Danube River, near Cernavoda, Romania, is now available on DLS. It was projected by Anghel Saligny and built between 1890-1895.

It's an old post but I just scanned through these pages, and fell for this bridge .... well done!! :D

VERY nice engine you've got there. How hard will it be to reskin?

I am curious to know which skins you are thinking about.

This particular version however is not the best option when it comes to reskinning, but no 10104 will serve as basis for the more colourful liveries given its simple red and grey paint scheme.

I am still making baby steps in the UWV unwrap department so there will probably be a couple of updates before the optimum mapping is in place. Then we can proceed to the more complicated bill board liveries of the present operator. (http://alanmitchell.fotopic.net/p13340586.html)

Ultimately I should mention that this is a payware item, but you are free to reskin it as much as you want.
If you want to publish your skins, we can work out an arrangement for that as well.
My prime concern is the 3D mesh and my license from the Swiss Federal Railways, hence I would like some say in matters concerning third party textures. Please note that this has nothing to do with money at all rather some contractual obligations towards the copyright holders.

If this has not scared you off, then drop me a mail/pm and let us deal with the details off-forum.
