Global warming in trainz?

Hi,

This hasn't happened to me before. I set up a VIA Rail session on the Marias Pass Approach route, using the "Set_Driver_Conditions_Rule", KUID: 99999:696969 . This rule has always worked for me, but when I wanted to make it rain, it wouldn't work. Why? I know it's for 2004, but it has worked on every session I made, exept on this one. Anyone know of the problem?:confused:
 
Nah, if it was "global warming" there would be more rain, not less.

More warmth = more evaporation of the oceans = more cloud cover = more rain. :)

Only if you are in England! Oceans don't directly influence the weather where I am at.:hehe:

Not where I live in Australia, we are going through a 7-8 year drought, which is blamed on global warming. Here most of the rain, if there is any, falls short of the coast, hence no or hardly any rain.

Re your problem, me thinks there is something corrupt somewhere. A reinstall after backing up your content and routes might be called for.

Or try a different "Weather Rule" script from the DLS to see if that makes any difference. I think I have seen one or two of these there some time ago but I do not know its Kuid number.

I have two other weather rules, but I don't know how to use them, and the set driver conditions rule won't work any session now. :(
 
Will do, however, that means finding out which sessions of mine use it, delete it from those sessions, uninstall, and install. Fortunately I have the .cdp with me.:D
 
Is it only the weather part of the rule that will not work, or is it all of it?

Are any other rules affected? Test some random ones and see.
 
Only the weather part. The other rules work fine, on the same session is the banking consist rule, which works as it should, the train banks.
 
The whole weather part of trainz is corrupted!!!!

Since the driver conditions rule didn't work for me, I wanted to make it rain by using the Startup Options Rule, but it still didn't rain or snow!!! :'( Should I reinstall?

Reinstalling is probably your best option. Make sure you follow all the instructions for installing SP1.
 
I had run the rule with SP1 before...and it worked fine...but know...I guess it's time to reinstall...gotta make sure I back-up everything...including my Welton county route...don't wanna lose that...:p

Go to DLS and get Smileyman's weather control rule.. simpler than anything. .and you can stop it snowing, damn snow.

I got that rule...and I have no idea how to use it.:p And the problem isn't that it won't stop snowing...it's that it won't rain or snow or anything...

Put the rule on, then click the >>>'s and change the % chance of that weather, the rest is simple.. :)

What I meant by the snow was with the auran rule, you can run a route and it'l start snowing when it would never really snow in that location.. with Smileys rule you can set what kinda of weather will come :)
 
Smileyman's rule didn't work. I set the weather to snow every 1 minute, but the came didn't snow...I told you all there was global warming in trainz!:p So I should reinstall now, correct?
 
This may seem simple ,but have you tried changing the particle effects slider? if its set low , rain or snow will not show
