meh..
Hi all,
Since a few months after I got out of the hospital in mid 2021 I began working on a project which consumed a lot of my time over the past 5 years. Honestly from the start I was running with conflicting approaches for a plan of release: On one hand I wanted this RS3 to replace the old open source freeware model that the community has continued to have as pretty much the only available RS3 in the game, while at the same time, I wanted to work on some sort of operation where I could still gain income off of payware releases of my own high quality versions of the model. At this point ive decided since ive had such a hard time trying to make any sort of money out of this game, and most attempts Ive purposed have been spun to make me look like some sort of money hungry POS, Ive decided that there is no point in trying. There is no point in trying to work out of this game for me at this point, although it would be greatly better for my health to make some sort of income out of trainz.. It seems like any attempt I could possibly make, especially with zero time or knowledge on creating a good website to sell my products from, (I dont have money to hire anyone to do that either) and that in any attempt I could try to make I would wind up getting screwed by whoever I work with over whatever personal beef they decide to choose against me.
So ive decided to say screw it to all of it and release what I did create out of my own RS3 project in hopes that it will do exactly half of what I had envisioned from the start. This POS project is now opensource as long as it remains in the general trainz game. If its taken outside of this game for profit I'm going to be pissed however, dont do that. Youre free to sell whatever revisions you make if youd like, as long as its in trainz. I just dont have the energy or ambition required to complete this project the way it should be done, IE: Many, many variations, for ohh so many roads. The trainz community deserves an RS3 again.

To those who have helped me in this project (amm4435, aceraziel, trainboi1, canadiantraindude) first off thank you for all the inspiration over the years and the help in providing me with horns and detail parts to make whatever versions I wanted possible. I made sure not to include any of your parts in the .blend files, hopefully there weren't any stragglers.
I just cant devote the kind of time we'd need to create all those RS3s and create the routes I want finished with their own custom content, with their respective versions of the RS3s/2s in my current lifetime, being shortened so drastically like it is. Ridding myself of this project hopefully will give me some good luck that I need so terribly at this point in my life and maybe the good luck I need to find a financially supportive girlfriend or somthing
.
Best of luck out there,
