I am new to model creating and I would like to test the model I have created in Trainz 2004. But I don't know how to do it. I do have trainz asset creation studio.

In your TRS04 game's folder you will need these extra folders (if not there already), in ...world\Custom\trainz. If you do not have the last 2 folders in \world, create these and load all your content's folder into the \trainz folder just as this would look in your game's world\dispatcher\downloads folder with ALL files like your exported mesh, texture maps, config.txt etc., I think you also have to make sure to have your user(kuid) number placed into the game's and/or Content Dispatcher's options. Not sure if needed as I haven't done some TRS04 creating for a while. My kuid number is 184151, so you have to place yours into these options if this is not there already.
Your texture maps must be in the right pixel sizes, .tga's must be uncompressed textures, the config.txt file must be correct and working, the kuid number you use for testing your asset must be one unique kuid number, meaning the same kuid number must NOT be in game already or this will clash in your game and neither will show in it.
To make sure you get ALL files to test in your test folder which is in this "trainz" folder, export your mesh correctly to wherever you export/save this to and also use the resource collector (if using GMax/3DSMax) to get all files needed there. Then copy these to into your test folder in the ....\trainz folder as and when updated or needed.
If using a different 3D program to export from, you have to make sure all the texture.txt files needed for the textures you use for your asset are existing, are correctly named and have the right and correct texture info in your test folder. Check with an existing texture.txt file from your game how this should look.
Don't forget to include all icon files (if the asset is a "trainzcar) and screenshots files which you will see in your Surveyor's menu (check for WorldofTrainz's web site's tutorials how these are done, Google for the web site link or search this forum for it). Possibly not needed at this stage but sooner or later you will have to make these anyhow.
If the above is all done correctly your item should show there and when clicking its name there your item's mesh should be spinning in Surveyor's menu of the category it is made for and should be ready for placing on your map there (hopefully and fingers crossed).
The other way would be to copy/paste/export ALL files correctly done as needed into any folder (or a folder Content Dispatcher can find/see) and with Content Dispatcher (in your game's directory) create a .cdp of this folder and install this into your game. All the above re unique kuid number, correctly done mesh, texture.txt and config.txt files etc. apply as well or your item will not show in game.
